In addition to the usual offerings of Fabrics, Trapeze, and Lyra, Corde Lisse/ Rope and AcroYoga, we are now offering Kids Swing, Spin and Play in addition to a few new daytime classes. Check our class schedule for more info.
"Performance Lab" will be offered again Winter/January 2015, keep an eye to the website In this class students choreograph and perform their own acts at our annual Aerial Rendezvous Show. Join us in the air and bring a friend!
"Open Air Night"
With the feel of an Open Mic night at your favorite coffee house, this is an opportunity for students and instructors to share acts-in-progress in an informal, supportive environment. Sign up to perform is on a first-come, first-served basis at the front desk. "Open Air Night" will be Friday Dec. TBA, 2014 7:00-9:00pm
We here at AAofU are sad to say farewell to our longtime instructor Jenny Raun-Lucas. Jenny leaves AAofU to embark on her new adventure- Physician Assistant school in Idaho! We all congratulate her, thank her for her wonderful teaching, and extraordinary performing over the last 4 plus years.
Guest instructors,Mary Ellen Wolfe and Tyce Neilsen will be sort of "artists in residence " for the month of Oct 2014. Mary Ellen will teaching Rope classes and both are available for private lessons to interested aerialists.
Liz Stich is back! After spending the next 9 months at NECCA and completing Pro-Track Training Program side by side with our former trainer Julianna Hane. She returns for a full slate of teaching including rope,trapeze, and advanced fabric.
Instructor Amy Olson is taking a break from AAofU to complete her Pro-Track Training a NECCA as well! Amy will return to AAofU during her intensive training period for workshops and performance.
Instructor Nancy Carter recently completed additional teacher training at NECCA (New England Circus Center) in August and on lyra with Wise Fool New Mexico. She is currently sharing her skills with students at AAofU.
Liz Stich and Amy Olson travelled to New England Center for Circus to complete the Advanced Trapeze Teacher Training course. We are excited to learn new skills they bring back! Additionally, Amy completed NECCA Boot Camp, coming back with a new Single Point Trapeze Act that will knock your socks off!
